The Rowell Centre was established in 2014, when Devon County Council made cut backs on their day Centre’s for adults with learning disabilities in Crediton.

We took it upon ourselves to maintain the service our service users were receiving with Devon County Council which allowed them to stay together.

The Rowell Centre’s name was adopted from the late Martyn Rowell, who was a huge part of the Devon County Council day centre in Crediton. He was very enthusiastic towards life and everyone around him and is always in our thoughts.
